Picture Day is Friday, August 5. Information envelopes have gone home. You may order on line at www.excelphotographers.com , or at the time the pictures are taken. Be sure to dress for success and wear a big smile!
A good breakfast is important for school success. Westwood Elementary School serves breakfast every day from 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the Westwood cafeteria. Don't be late!

Westwood Office Reopens- Monday, July 18, First Day of School- Monday, August 1, 2016, Back to School Night- Thursday, August 11, 2016, Common Planning/Minimum Day- Wednesday, August 17.
Westwood Kindergarten Extended Day and KinderCamp
Westwood Kindergarten is changing to an extended day program. All Kindergartens will start at 8:15 and dismiss at 1:30. Westwood Kindergarten is also hosting a KinderCamp the week of July 18-22.
Kindergarden sign-ups will resume when the school office reopens on Monday, July 18, 2016. Children who will be five (5) on or before September 1, 2016, should register for Traditional Kindergarten. Children who will turn five (5) between September 2, 2016, and December 2, 2016, should register for Transitional Kindergarten. Parents need to bring the following documents at the time of registration. Your child will not be allowed to attend Kindergarten until all registration documents are provided. Lodi Unified School District maintains a strict NO SHOTS-NO SCHOOL policy.
1. The OFFICIAL birth certificate.
2. Bring address verification to school (utility bill, rent/lease agreement, or bill of sale).
3. Immunization records showing that your child has received all the required immunization.
This record may be:
a. California immunization record or
b. Form/Letter listing dates of immunizations and signed by your doctor.
Westwood Students Dress for Success
How does a successful student dress? Clothes that fit appropriately and give a positive message. Your job is as a student, so dress like you are on the job. Tennis shoes and socks are the preferred footwear at all Lodi Unified Schools. Please do not wear lycra or mesh shorts. Students may wear hats for sun protection, but they should be plain, without writing or logo, and must be worn appropriately.
